Zoe Dartley, LMSW

Good fit for anxiety & depression

I know how scary and exhausting it can be when anxiety and depression take over. That’s why I take a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and even humorous approach to therapy. In our work together, I use CBT to help you spot the patterns that keep you stuck and build real, usable skills for handling them. I also draw on my experience as a NICU and Labor & Delivery social worker, which means I'm comfortable sitting with big feelings and supporting people through life’s toughest moments.

  • Credentials: Licensed Master Social Worker #117958

  • Specialty Areas: Anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, perinatal care

  • Populations: Adolescents, teens, & young adults

  • Location: Virtual

Anna Chapman, LMSW, MSEd

Good fit for neurodivergence

As a neurodivergent person myself, I bring both professional knowledge and personal experience to my work with the neurodivergent community. Traditional CBT can sometimes feel too rigid for us, so I adapt my approach to honor how your brain actually works, not how a textbook says it “should.” I also worked in education for several years, which has taught me patience, curiosity, and how to support neurodivergent brains.

  • Credentials: Licensed Master Social Worker #125093, Master’s Degree in Special Education

  • Specialty Areas: LGBTQIAA community, (dis)Ability community, mood disorders, neurodivergence

  • Populations: Individuals & couples

  • Location: Virtual & in-person in NYC & Brooklyn

Good fit for eating disorders

I’m dedicated to creating a safe space for teens that’s free from shame and stigma—a place where they can openly express and get to know themselves without judgment. My approach is also weight-neutral and identity-affirming, which is especially important for adolescents struggling with disordered eating. I use CBT to help teens untangle the thoughts and behaviors that fuel disordered eating and body image struggles, and build coping skills that actually fit their day-to-day lives.

  • Credentials: Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit

  • Specialty Areas: Eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma

  • Populations: Adolescents & teens

  • Location: Virtual & in-person in NYC

Jenna Rossi, MHC-LP

Good fit for trauma

After 12 years as an elementary school guidance counselor in Harlem, I've seen firsthand how powerful the right coping skills can be for young people. I use CBT to help kids and teens understand the link between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and walk away with tools that actually work outside the therapy room. My style is warm and totally non-judgmental, so you can feel safe enough to be honest about what’s going on.

  • Credentials: Mental Health Counselor - Limited Permit

  • Specialty Areas: Neurodivergence, anxiety, relationships, trauma, reproductive health

  • Populations: Adolescents, teens, & adults

FAQs about CBT

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, research-backed approach built on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected, and shifting one can shift the others.

In CBT sessions, you and your therapist identify the thought patterns and behaviors keeping you stuck and explore new ways of thinking and responding to create the changes you’re looking for.

  • Our approach to CBT is not rigid; we use it as one tool in a much bigger toolbox. Our clinicians weave it together with relational, somatic, and psychodynamic work, so you’re not locked into only doing CBT therapy. We adapt this work to fit your unique needs instead of asking you to fit into a box that may or may not fit.

  • CBT is one of the most well-researched therapy approaches out there, and it can work for a wide range of people. At EveryBody Psychotherapy NYC, we use CBT to support clients navigating:

    • Anxiety and panic

    • Depression and low mood

    • Eating disorders and disordered eating

    • OCD and intrusive thoughts

    • Trauma and PTSD

    • ADHD and executive function challenges

    • Life transitions and adjustment stress

    • Relationship difficulties

If you’re not sure whether CBT is the right fit for you, please contact us for a free consultation so we can offer our recommendations.

  • Yes! Anna and Christina both offer in-person CBT sessions at our Manhattan (Flatiron) location, and Anna also sees clients in person at our Brooklyn office. All of our therapists offer virtual sessions across New York as well.

  • Yes, CBT is typically covered by insurance. EveryBody Psychotherapy NYC is an out-of-network practice, which means we don't bill insurance directly. That said, many clients get partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits, and we're happy to provide superbills to make that process simpler. On your intro call, we'll also walk you through exactly what to ask your insurance company.
