5 NYC Therapists for Lawyers [Available Now]
You're billing 60-hour weeks, prepping for trial, fielding partner emails at 11 p.m., and somehow trying to have a life in the margins. The pressure is relentless, the stakes feel high, and there's rarely time to come up for air. We see you—and we're here to help.
At EveryBody Psychotherapy NYC, our New York therapists specialize in compassionate, evidence-based therapy for lawyers, helping you cultivate healing, connection, and greater self-trust while you navigate your career.
If you're a lawyer struggling with your relationships, mental health, or overall well-being, we see you.
The legal profession asks a lot. Long hours, billable targets, adversarial environments, and a culture that often equates rest with weakness can leave even the most accomplished attorneys feeling drained, disconnected, or burnt out.
At EveryBody Psychotherapy NYC, we specialize in working with lawyers who are high-achievers and deep feelers: people who carry tremendous responsibility at work while privately struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, strained relationships, or a sense that they've lost themselves along the way.
Our therapists offer a confidential, judgment-free space where you can finally exhale, get curious about what’s coming up for you, and reconnect with what actually matters to you. We understand how demanding your career can be, and we’re here to offer you the support, encouragement, and tools you need to heal and grow—without just telling you to leave the profession or giving you generic “work-life balance” advice.

Meet our NYC therapists for lawyers
Zoe Dartley
Good fit for early-career attorneys facing anxiety, depression, or major life shifts
Hi, I'm Zoe. I work with attorneys—especially early-career and young-adult lawyers—who are navigating the anxiety, self-doubt, and identity questions that come with a high-pressure profession.
Our work together will center your goals and strengths. I’m certified in Motivational Interviewing, which is a technique that can help you draw on your own intrinsic motivation to help you make lasting changes in your life.
My style is warm, collaborative, and sometimes even humorous, which can surprise the often-serious lawyers I see—but I’m a firm believer that therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy to be effective!

Lauren Spiechowski
Good fit for high-achieving lawyers managing chronic stress, trauma, and the physical toll of burnout
Hi, I'm Lauren. Before going into private practice, I spent years as a medical social worker at Mount Sinai, where I saw firsthand how chronic stress shows up in the body, the mind, and every relationship in a person's life.
Now, I work with high-achieving professionals—including attorneys—who feel weighed down by anxiety, stress, unresolved trauma, or depression. My approach is warm, attentive, and focused on helping you live more authentically rather than just “getting through.”
Through our work together, you’ll learn more about yourself and the patterns that you may be unconsciously repeating in your work, relationships, and personal life. This place of insight is where the foundation for real change begins.

Jenna Rossi
Good fit for younger attorneys juggling anxiety, relationship stress, and career pressure
Hi, I'm Jenna. I bring over a decade of experience supporting students through emotional regulation, anxiety, and big transitions, and I bring that same steady warmth to my work with young adult attorneys.
Therapy with me is non-judgmental and collaborative: a space where you can feel truly seen and supported, no matter what you’re experiencing. I believe that getting this compassion in a trusting therapeutic space is the first step to building that same compassion for yourself.
Together, we’ll process the challenges you’re facing, whether that’s career pressure, anxiety, conflict in your relationships, or how your neurodivergence affects you at the workplace. We'll focus on building a steadier relationship with yourself first; everything else gets easier from there.

Christina Kennedy
Good fit for LGBTQIA+ attorneys navigating identity
Hi, I'm Christina. I create a space free of shame or stigma where we can openly explore your feelings, identity, struggles, and strengths. This can feel totally unfamiliar to attorneys who are used to the pressure to perform and “have it all together,” but I’m here to make it safe and comfortable for you to open up.
I bring an identity-affirming, weight-neutral lens to every session, with a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ attorneys, including those who have experienced trauma or struggle with their relationships with food or their bodies.
Together, we’ll take an honest look at what’s coming up for you and help you build resilience and coping skills so you can step into your most confident, authentic self.

Pam Skop
Good fit for female attorneys navigating perinatal mental health or a complicated relationship with food and body
Hi, I'm Pam, founder of EveryBody Psychotherapy NYC. I work with high-achieving women, including attorneys, who appear composed on the outside but inside feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves and others.
My approach blends traditional talk therapy with embodiment work, so we go beyond just talking about stress; we address how it shows up in your body. Since many of the attorneys I see are highly intellectual, logical women, they often find the integration of body awareness to be a major difference-maker in their therapy journey.
While I support lawyers dealing with all kinds of stressors, I’m especially passionate about working with attorneys who are navigating perinatal mental health issues and struggling with their relationship with food, both issues that often go overlooked by other practices that support those in the legal profession.

How therapy can help attorneys
Build sustainable strategies for stress & burnout
The pace of your work doesn’t slow down, but you can change how you relate to it. Together, we'll identify the patterns that drive your burnout, which often go beyond your job itself and have deeper roots in early experiences. From here, we’ll develop tools to help you effectively manage stress and make space for rest.
Reconnect with yourself & others
When work consumes so much of your energy, the people who matter most—including yourself—are often stuck with the leftovers. Therapy is a place to look honestly at how your career is impacting your romantic, family, and friend relationships, and to practice showing up differently, starting with the relationship you have with yourself.
Address anxiety, perfectionism, & self-doubt
Many lawyers are praised for the same traits—relentless drive, attention to detail, fear of failure—that actually fuel their stress and anxiety. Together, we'll explore where those patterns come from, how they’re impacting you, and how to start quieting that inner critic without sacrificing your ambition.
Build a sense of identity beyond your career
You are not your title, your firm, or your billable hour count. Therapy offers a dedicated space to remember what lights you up outside of work so that your sense of self isn’t entirely tied to the legal profession. And it’s okay if you don’t have those answers right now—we’ll work together to discover your values and interests.
FAQs about counseling for lawyers

There's not just one "best" therapy for lawyers; different approaches work well for different people and situations. At EveryBody Psychotherapy NYC, we use a blend of evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, somatic approaches, and parts work. Each of these methods has different strengths and applications, so we’ll work together to determine which ones resonate with you.

Our approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and collaborative. We don't pathologize ambition or hand you a one-size-fits-all toolkit. Instead, we get curious about what's actually driving your stress, weave body-based awareness in alongside talk therapy, and tailor your care to your real life rather than a textbook version of it.

Yes. Therapy is confidential, and that confidentiality is protected by both ethical guidelines and state law. There are a few narrow exceptions (such as imminent risk of harm), but otherwise, nothing you share leaves the room. We're also a private-pay practice, which means no diagnoses or session notes are shared with insurance companies.

Yes, and our clients are proof. In addition to in-person sessions in Brooklyn and Manhattan, we also offer virtual therapy across New York and select other states to make fitting therapy into your schedule as convenient as possible. We know that it can feel hard to carve out an hour for yourself, but the reality is that therapy often gives back more than it takes.
